Hesitation on acceleration 850 1993

I have recently started having an intermittent hesitation problem when I accelerate from a stop. I press the gas and it acts like it has not power then will slowly start to accelerate. It almost acts like it wants to die on me but hasn't yet. Does any one have any suggestions?
