Green Light Next to Headlight Switch..What is it? 850

Its The bulb in the switch to indicate that the lights are on. This glows bright green, irrespective of the position of the dimmer/slider. The bulb has blown, but the ends of the filament appears to have made contact for a brief period. If you prise off the light switch, you will see the little white circular end of the bulb holder. You can get replacement bulbs for this.
