850 Tranny slip 850 1994

I've searched the posts on transmission problems but haven't found this particular problem and would appreciate some input. I have a '94 850 Turbo Wagon with 85,000 miles. I purchased it at 74,000 and after reading posts on this board, flushed the ATF and replaced with Mobil 1 synthetic. I have a fairly steep but short grade pulling away from a stop sign within 1/2 mile of my house and when the tranny shifts to second on that grade, I notice a slight surging (tach does not change) and assume it is in the transmission. After the car fully warms up, I no longer notice any surging and the transmission seems fine. Is this slight surging (slipping?) something to be concerned about or is it fairly normal for this transmission?
