lower shock absorber mount(stud) snapped, help! 850 1994

Seems like someone posted a similar situation a few months back ( you may want to do a search on this board as well as volvospeed.com)

If I remember, the solution was to drill out the stud completely and replace with a nut and bolt.

However- you say the area is very corroded ? If so, not sure what the solution needs to be.
