'95 850 wagon turbo: intermittent startup issues 850 1995

Any VERY COMMON weaknesses in statup if the engine cranks but does not start up (i.e. no fuel or no spark)?

I and am very familiar with the 240/740/940 issues around fuel pump relay, injection fuse as common problems.

My brother-in-law has an 850 1995 turbo wagon. In the cold winter he had intermittent startup and drivability issues which appeared well diagnosed as a cracked intercooler rubber hose (freezup in intercooler)... Recently in this nice weather the car had an issue starting mid-day being parked outside. No drivability problems, now nor historically. Only happened once. I am just wondering if these 850 also have relay overheat problems etc...

Thanks!
