MT is faster if you know what you're doing. Most of us can't shift that fast.

Best Volvo tranny of all? The instant-change automatic on my 88 745T. I would manually click through the gears, and it did whatever I wanted the instant the gearshift clicked into the next position. No delay whatsoever. You can't shift any faster than that.
