Spring mounts or strut mounts?

I’m going to put new struts (Bilstein HD) in my ’97 855 T-5 soon. While I have it apart I want to replace the other parts that typically were out that will be accessible. There is both a “spring seat” or “spring mount” on this car as well as a “strut mount”. Could anyone tell me which of these is the part that typically fails and if the other is normally sound? I currently have 80000 miles on the car.

Thanks
