3-2-3 A1 code 850 1995

The book says the 3-2-3 code is "Lock-Up slips or is disengaged" . Torque Converter related ? The blinking arrow is the transmission switching to "Emergency Mode" which ensures the 4th gear is selected. Basically your torque converter isn't locking up when its suppose to. You can unplug the TCM connector and clean the terminal pins and test the resistance between pins 9 and 20 for 10-15 ohms. Does the transmission feel different performance-wise ? If you've been pretty good with the transmission flushes over its lifetime try cleaning the terminal contacts with a brush but other than that there's not a lot you can do but rebuild the tranny and replace the torque converter.

Here's what it says:

DTC 323: LOCK-UP SLIPS OR IS NOT ENGAGED
1) Turn ignition on. Clear DTCs. Test drive vehicle. If
transmission does not show any malfunction, go to next step. If
transmission has a mechanical malfunction and DTC 323 is not reset,
diagnose mechanical malfunction. If transmission has a mechanical
malfunction and DTC 323 is reset, replace transmission.
2) Ensure ignition is on. Connect measuring unit to TCM connector (under the hood next to ECU box) . Connect ohmmeter between measuring unit terminals No. 9 and 20. If ohmmeter reads 10-15 ohms, transmission is probably okay.
However, if problem persists, replace transmission. If ohmmeter does
not read 10-15 ohms, check TCM connector for poor terminal contact.
Repair as necessary.

Hope this helps........ Mike
