It should not really 'click'. You should hear it open/close the valve, but not odd noises.

Don't think so.. Once the test sequence has ended it's fine.

Just make sure you re-connected any connectors you removed. Perhaps that's just what's happening here.

Clear the codes (disconnect battery for 15 minutes or use the clear sequence) and then start the engine normally. After that re-check for codes.

The 212 code may take a while to re-appear and the others should be gone.
