Thinking of buying an S80 S80

We got rid of a Toyota Solara to buy the cross country. That vehicle defined boring. I've owned a Toyota truck in the past and had no problems with it. However, I find it difficult to enjoy driving in a Toyota product. European cars all have such distinct personalities, while Toyota and Honda seem plan and boring. The other Jap cars are breaking through this. Euro is what I want, but I would like the reliability of a Jap car. I've had at least one Volvo my entire life (and grew up with them), but have been very disappointed in their declining reliability.
