Transmission hard shifts from 1st to 2nd 850 1996

Have 96 850 Turbo. 93k Red. Nice. Of course the AC freon leaks, charge about every 2 weeks in summer. Fixed the check valve from here--as well as the heated seats.

NOW: first time the car shifts from 1st to 2nd, it does so pretty hard. After it warms up, shifts much smoother. Any ideas?
