bad smell 850

guys,
i just changed the evaporator on my
'97 855 GLT and everything went well.
now i am ready to address the next issue -
my car smells bad. it smells as if there is dead
fish somewhere in there. i did find a month
ago or so a rotten spot in the carpet under the
front passenger seat, but i tried to take care of
that to the best of my abilities. now, do you
know if something else could be causing a bad
smell, and if so, then how can i fix it?
