Front Axles Groaning Noise S70 1998

First time posting here. Great site and great people. I have a 1998 S70 NA automatic and am having some problems with the front axles lately. I only have 57K miles on it but I hear groanong noise from the front and the noise is more much louder when I make left turns and drive faster. I can actually feel the vibration in the gas pedal. When I rolled down the window on the passenger side, I could hear the loud pulsating wind noise as if a chopper was landing. I took it to a tire shop and they put it up on the lift. They said the inner CV joints are shot. They hand rotated the tires and showed me that the axles were jumping up and down (like they were rotating off center). I'm not sure if it was the weight of the wheel that pulled down the axles to make it behave like this or does this mean that I need to replace the two front axles? All the boots are still intact and no grease leaks. They said my bearing and transmission were okay but I need to replace the axles ASAP so as not to damgae them. BTW, I don't have any clicking noise when making turns so I guess my outter joints are okay. Any thoughts? Should I remove the axles and have them rebuilt or replace with new or rebuilt axles? Thanks in advance.
