Rear brake shims - Someone must know this! 850

Guys, please help me with this, I plan to do rear brakes this weekend:

I just bought a set of genuine Volvo rear brake pads. Unlike my last set, which had shims glued to the pads, this one came with separate pads and shims. The kit # 271668 has 4 pads and 8 shims - 4 plain metal and 4 metal with some black plastic/rubber coating.
How do I install them? Which shims to use? Metal or plastic coated, or both (in pairs). If both, which one faces the pad and which - the piston?
Also, can anyone verify the number 271668? It looks like the one for 850 and was sold as such, but the box says "Models 140, 160, 240, 260", also mentions ATE brand (for brakes).

TIA
Yuri
