abs/tracs light 850 1996

Since you're concerned about cost, don't have the dealer fix it, unless it's the crimp. Someone claiming to be Frank has noted that a front wheel code is indicative of the crimp problem, and that a rear wheel code indicates a faulty board. Confirm with your dealer that they have the rear wheel code....and then take the car home. If it's a replacement board you need, you can save $75 for the part plus labor, by installing it yourself. Check with the online dealers like Borton Volvo and Jaffarian to see if they offer the lower price for the part ($358 last time I checked). Also, search for some of Frank's other posts - he seems to be familiar with these types of repairs and you'll probably collect some useful information.
