Thinking of buying an S80 S80

You are VERY wrong, my friend, when you say negativ comments posted here are just a couple of disgruntled owners. Check aMB bulletin board lately? Most owners are pretty happy with their car. Most of the talk is about upgrading or adding accessories - not about how the car is falling apart.

S80s - especially 1999 and 2000 - are a huge problem and that's why book value is what it is. The market knows how much this car is worth. And - if you take the time to check it out - the market knows the value of a MB, too. There's no comparison. Good luck with your S80 - you'll need it!
