After a couple of Saabs... 850

I'm away from home and my library but I'll try to look up the stats later today...among the cars available in US market the current P2 S60R is quickest followed by the new V70R, this is followed by the old style C70HP manual coupe (the lightest), the S70T5M, the V70T5M and the C70HP manual convertible (the heaviest). The old 850Rs were sold only with automatics in the US so are about a second slower to 60 vs the SVC70 T5Ms, the V70R was slowed down not only by the automatic but by the frictional lossed from the AWD system. It's performance numbers were unimpressive in the R&T test.

I recall the quickest of the 9000s with 5-speeds weren't as quick as the old style SVC70 T5Ms (the heavier, new style P2 T5Ms aren't, either), and both Saab and Volvo turbos are significantly slower that the P2 platform 300hp Rs with 6-speeds.

I'll try to remember to look it up when I get home.
