Brake pedal becomes spongy after service S70 1998

I had the 60k service on my '98 S70 earlier this year which included changing the brake fluid. Since then the brake pedal becomes soft over a few weeks. I returned the car to have the brake lines bled which solved the problem, but only for 2 or 3 weeks. I cleaned around the master brake cylinder and after a brief drive, I noticed brake fluid had leaked out the top.
Could air getting in the lines and pushing brake fluid out the reservoir? Or perhaps I'm looking at a new master cylinder(?). Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
