HELP!! Please! Cleaning MAF (Mass Air Flow) V70-XC70

Is there any cleanable parts inside the MAF?
Does a cleaning do any good?
A used MAF costs almost 100$.(A new? I dont dare to think.)

I have a -97 V70 that runs (almost)good for about a week or so and then
suddenly starts to run bad/twitch and then stops.
The fuelmixture gets to rich. (Black spark plugs, bad smell from exhaust)
If i pull out the ECM for a little while and then put it back
(or if the car stand unused for a while)the car can run for
aprox. week or two again.
I have changed the o2-sensors.
Yesterday i got tired of this problem and went down
to the local mechanic to check if any faultcodes was stored i ECM. None!
He said he suspected the problem was the MAF.
