Why is RECIRCULATE tougher on A/C system. 850

I think the manual says not to leave it on REC for more than 15 minutes at a time. A reason it might be tougher on the system is that it might make some of the components too cool - like freezing it out. Mine blows cold in the fresh air position even during the summer (95-100 degrees daily). The REC helps cool it off faster sometimes, though.
