2 Part Paint Question... S40-V40 2000

1st. My S40 (Blackberry) looks worn, with many tiny scratches/dull areas due either to Northeast pollution and Vermont roads or just poor quality paint job to begin with! My plan is to use a fine rubbing compound to remove most of the surface scratches and dull areas and then apply one of the Synthetic waxes as they advertize a "stronger more durable finish" than any carnuba based wax....My 2nd plan is to give the car a new paint job at 100k.....as I hate the Blackberry......any thoughts on best paint finishes and or clearcoat???? thanks, Bill
