High oil consumption with 2.4T engine V70-XC70 1998

Howdy

Have a 98 V70 with the 2.4 turbo(B5254T) - the car has covered 106,000 km's and is starting to drink a fair bit of oil. Had the return pipe replaced as the seals were gone. Apart from the distributor seal everything looks OK.
Is there anything else I should be checking?
Anyone else know of common oil consumption issues with the turbos?
And more importantly are they very $$$$?

PS current spec of oil for Australian climate is 15W/40
