Purchasing Used S60. What to look out for.......... S60 2001

Hi there....

I am interested to hear about the locks not working...was driving my pre-owned S60 the day after I collected it and the rear left door popped open whilst I was looking for a car park lot. I had locked the doors before this trip using the driver's door master lock button. Hasn't happened again but am wary since my kids sit in the back. Is this a known problem to Volvo?

Other than that, I love the car! Well laid out instrumentation, very clear and legible, great seats for the driver and front pax, climate control is good, very stable and very stiff body. Only gripe is that I wish the default mode for the recirculating air system is changed to NOT allowing outside air into the cabin...city air is pretty bad and fumes occasionaly enter the cabin until I depress the RECIRCULATING button.
