exhaust stinks 850

I have a 95 850 Turbo w 108K miles. I am about to take in to the local Volvo shop but wanted to ask what could be causing my car to stink. This morning was about 60 degrees and I could see a very light smoke from the tail while it idled. I have driven behind the car and do not see any clouds or anything like that, any ideas. The car seems to be struggling while idle. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
