Tire size 850

Hi all,

We have a 1995 850 turbo and the recommended tire size is 205-50-16. I am wondering if it is okay to put 205-55-16 tires on the car. The sales person at Walmart assured me that this size is okay, but I'm not sure that I trust him. Are there any safety issues with this or am I worrying too much about it?
