Tire size 850

I mounted 205-55-16's on my 1994 854 Turbo stock alloys dispite the recommended size being 205-50. I used a Toyo Proxes FZ4. The ride, price and treadwear rating are all much better than the factory-fitted Michelin Pilots. I do however get contact with the inner fender liner if the wheels are turned full lock. Photos of what to expect given this action are available on Bay 13 site. In my opinion the benefits of the switch outweigh the minor downside. Be aware though that there can be significant differences in actual radius of different brands of the same spec-sized tire (sometimes upwards of 1/4" on radius). Good luck with your choice.

Doug
