right side motor mount - $300 for parts? 850 1996

My garage tells me my right side motor mount is shot, and that Volvo has redesigned the part(s) involved. He is quoting me around $300 for the parts, plus about an hour in labor. I've seen motor mounts on the parts sites on the web for about $100. Are those the old version? Is this the difference between buying parts from Volvo and buying them from the web?

Now a short rant - It seems typical for Volvo to discover that their engineering was lacking enough that a part needs to be redesigned, but not to pay for the repair out of warranty.
