I installed aftermarket lamps on my 850 years ago, using the pre-wired harness that ran from the dash to the front of car. I also purchased the OEM switch to give a OEM fit and finish. I also had to purchase the relay needed and second wiring harness to accomodate both the switch and relay. You need the relay and proper switch which your Volvo supplier can help you with. I don't have the part numbers in front of me but I did write an article on the installation years ago that I can send to you if you want..just let me know.
