Before I get started, we might begin by pointing out that the C70 is arguably the best-looking Volvo built today, perhaps ever (caveat: eye of the beholder) - and with only a couple thousand sold per year, it will be a collector's item. The new, clear headlamp lenses look nice, too.
Now, on to your list. Some things have a preventive answer.
Premature lamp burnout due to DL's? Turn off the DRLs (in the US, the tiny slotted switch). Or do what I did, wire the foglights for independent use - only the $5 H1 lamps are lit, and nothing else. I change mine 1x per year.
ABS controller - the vast majority of failures are in the 1996 and 1998 model years, replacement part lasts much longer. (In my case, 60K and counting).
$85+ to change the oil? Don't go to the dealer for that. Find an indy ($45), or DIY ($31).
Rotor warping? Not unique to Volvos, and it may have something to do with improperly torqued lugbolts. OEM rotors/pads should be good for 40K+ miles, which is normal for most cars and darn good for a solidly built high-HP car. If you're using hard-compound (dustless) pads, you can anticipate squealing, and a lot of heat on the rotors, too.
Heater core at 50K? Very unusual. But an easy repair in a Volvo. (The evaporator? That's another story.)
This isn't to suggest that these cars don't have issues (they do) but some of the items in your list can be prevented, and a couple are probably unique to a few individial cars (yours included).
