Smoke 850

My 1995 850 (non-turbo) had been pretty smokey, so I checked out the engine codes and was getting a 1-2-1 MAF sensor code. I checked all the hoses and found that the Flame Trap housing had degraded to the point that it had bedome completely detached.

I have since replaced the housing, so it is now secure. I am no longer getting the 1-2-1 code but still get a lot of white smoke on starting the engine if the air temperature is above 18C (rare here in Ireland!)

I think the O ring on the Flame trap may now be leaking - could this cause MAF sensor errors and my problems?

Any ideas

Cheers
