methinks you misunderestimate 850 1995

The newer ECU-managed turbos will go much, much further than the mechanically controlled devices of yore, even recent yore. They run cooler, and the ECU switches over to mostly NA operation at sustained speed. My indy tech sees LP and HP turbos with 300K miles and they're still not pushing smoke. And using synthetic oil, which is tolerant of higher heat and has excellent flow characteristics at low temperatures, also extends the life of a turbo.
