Got boost? S70 2000

I just installed the IPD pod boost gauge to take a look at the boost levels generated while running with the IPD ECU on a LPT GLTSE Turbo. (This install looks a little juvenile, but it gets the job done)

I have noticed that in 1st gear boost seems to be limited to about 8psi and once I hit second gear (or the uper rpm ranges in 1st) it will hit the 14psi max and really rocket off. As a result, acceleration from a dead stop has a long lag until things really light up. If I'm already moving along at 30mph or so and then I punch it, the acceleration is so strong that the tires start breaking loose.

This relative sluggishness from rest seems to be highly correlated with the temperature. The hotter and more humid it is the worse it is. Today it is 91 degrees here in TX.

Has anyone else experienced this sort of affect and is it normal?

Thanks,
Ted
