buying a 99 V70 R AWD , seems great but there's this ticking that's bothering me? V70-XC70 1999

You don't hear it until you lift the hood, There's this steady clatter, really more like a ticking. The car has 95 K, one owner, beautiful inside and out. And man talk about Turbo Boost, this thing flies. I took it for a test drive in a rain storm, it felt like it was on rails! I currently have a 93 945 Turbo wagon that runs strong with several upgrades from IPD, But this V 70 R is something else. But that ticking, it reminds me of my 79 245 wagon with the 6 cylinder engine that after running it at 110 mph for a little while one night (that's another story)it developed a tick that never left, I always assumed it was a valve issue but never found out. Anyone have knowledge about these cars that might be helpful. Any thing else I should look for?
