Bad Radio Reception 850 1995

I'm getting really bad radio reception on my 850. My friend has a 96 850 and her reception is equally bad. It goes in and out, kind of like a mono to stereo sound. I'm not sure what it is, I have the Volvo CD/Cassette player in my car and I know its not because of a bad radio. My feeling is that it has a bad antenna? Does anyone know anything about this?
