Climate system fan not working when hot S70 1999

It is the second time that the fan of my climate system stop functionning.
Both times it happens when the car was under the sun for all day.
Usually it takes at least .5 hours until I am able to get it function again.
To get it work I need to stop the car couple of times and then it start turning again.
Ever happen to anybody ? Any idea of the problem ?

Also 3 days ago, my lovely check engine light appeared on my dashboard. i called the dealer and tehy told me not to worry and that was a common problem.

Are the two problem related ? My electronic is falling down on me ...
