Effectiveness of Strut Tower Brace in S70?

I've had the Volvo brace on my V70 T5 for, oh, about 115,000 miles...

I also ordered the factory sport suspension in 1997, and I'm currently running an iPd front bar and the HD Volvo factory rear bar. (I broke my old iPd rear bar, and I haven't gotten around to refitting my new iPd rear bar. I'm planning on reinstalling the bar and adding a set of Konis for my next project.) I'm also running Dunlop SP5000s with about 4psi overpressure. As a part of a package the brace helps my car handle much better than the run-of-the-mill Volvo station wagon, I am sure. So I think it depends on the model, and on what other suspension work has been done. As a single added component on a base S70 on relatively narrow Michelin fuel-economy tires, I'm not really sure there would be much of a difference to notice.
