I do not understand how new pads would shorten rotor life. I doubt if enough grease exists to fix squealing aftermarket pads.

If you do a search, you will see plenty of posts concerning squealing brakes.

Most of these tales lead to Volvo pads. Some have suggested that other pads do not really fit, thus move around and make noise.

While you may get some suggestions, mine is - buying another set of aftermarket pads would be sending good money after bad.

If you do not get much feedback, I suspect that this topic is discussed so often that people get tired of composing answers.
