a/c problem - how to control the radiator fan? 850

Hi, my 95 850 wagon has aircon which works great when the car is moving but when i have to queue in traffic, it starts blowing warm steamy air. I think the condensor (which is clean) is not getting cooled enough and I am thinking of fitting a wire to make the radiator fan come on with the cycling of the compressor. Is this a good idea? Does anyone know why there are 2 power wires going into the fan motor? Anyone done this or can give me some advice? Or is my system faulty and no one else has this problem?
Thanks.
