Knocking sound! 850

Dear ALl

I checked my oil this morning and after a run the motor was warm I also checked the auto oil. Everything good and clean. But there was a knock or tapping sound coming from the aluminun plate in front of the fuel injectors. I looked behind without moving it and nothing seems to be touching the panel to cause the knock.

Is is something that could get worse? Is it a sound of a faulty injector?
