M56 Manual Trans Fluid S70

Why on earth is there no dipstick on this transmission. I find it funny that Volvo lists the capacity of the trans in the manual, but there's not really anything you can do with that number.

I've got some funky shifting going on right now, and I want to know how to check the fluid. Anyone know?
