Thinking of going from '90 744Ti to 850 Wagon, any advice or thoughts? 850

Hi all-

We acquired a '90 740 Turbo sedan about a year and a half ago. A year and a half of the Red Brick sitting in the sun is killing the paint, so we are going to get rid of it before it's too oxidized to take a shine.

We love the rock solid feel of the 740, and the VERY tight turning radius. However, it's a little noisy/rattly, and gets poorer mileage than we'd like.

The extra room of the wagon makes it very attractive.

How does the FWD 850 compare to the RWD 740's? What kind of mpg do they get, and what sorts of engines are they equipped with? What's routine maintenance like? Lastly, what's the life expectancy?

Chances are there's a buyer's guide somewhere? Many thanks for any pointers!
