Rumor has it that the S80 will get a V8 version in the "near future" BUT I'll believe that when I see it with my own eyes. I hear/read many a Volvo rumor about future stuff that never happens or plans change so my attitude about that is that when I see it arrive at my dealership, THEN I'll believe it.
For the time being, although I havent driven one yet the new 300HP turbo 5 cyl AWD S60R is a sweet looking car and should be fairly fast. The Brembo brakes look impressive enough as is. If I had a spare $43K lying around for another cool "toy", I'd be interested.
