No, wastegate 850 1994

Volvo turbos have a built-in wastegate on the exhaust side that dumps the excessive boost into the exhaust side of the turbo (not intake side). They still can make a woosh-type sound if you drive it "right" (really have to torque it up) BUT it's not the same sound that the ricers seem to think is so cool. I'd rather have power, no noise than noise, no power like the ricers who add the fake blow-off valves to non-turbo 80HP Hondas.
