850t battery cable 850

Hi ya,

One of those red cables goes to the starter motor just behind the centre on the fan is located. It was a black plastic cover on it with a silver clip. Just pull the plastic and it pops off. Anyway the large red cable is one for the battery with one or two others connected to it. I would do the same with these and clean them up.

Next i would do the same to the earthing leads, i once when cleaning mine up frogot to reearth, engine fired up but no other electrics. So just in front of the battery tray is the main earthing poin clean all the spades, clips and the cable from the battery. Also it will be worth check the two fly leads that come fromt he bulkhead to the engine at either end.

Of course do we know that the battery is in a good state too ?
