Anyone had the experience of a burned out odometer light? What is required for the repair? I have experienced other problems... the fuel pump located under the rear seat developed a crack in the fuel line, leaking fuel to the passenger compartment, saturated carpet. All the carpet had to be replaced, total cost for fuel pump and carpet, 2900.00. I wrote the CEO of Volvo North America, reply was occasional repairs are necessary if you are to be part of the unique Volvo driving experience. When you press on the brake pedal a relay, burned out, disengages the lock mechanism on the shifter, total cost 400.00. The power steering line cracked at the pump, replaced line, total cost 400.00. Electric door lock on left passenger door doesn't work, I can live with it. Driver electric seat, right side doesn't move forward, left side does, warranty. Electric fan will not shut off, warranty. Frame bushings replaced, warranty. Motor mount replaced, 225.00. And of course the idiot lights, service engine soon, emission control service needed, severe brake failure, ABS service needed, power steering service required and about five other messages. Had the emissions inspected, outcome was clean. Volvo dealer said that the computer probably needs replacing, about 1200. Would I ever buy another Volvo... not NO! but HELL NO.
