ABS/STC module S80

IMHO, don't waste your time trying. I've read that story before too (with 850s/X70s) and I've opened up a couple of them BEFORE they had to returned for a core (money back for you).
Once opened, you'll see VERY small circuitry (too small for ANY soldering gun I've used) and it's got a gel coating covering it for water-proofing too.
I've questioned this rumor before here and not one experienced person has told me what exactly one's looking for, re-solding. With the naked eye, you won't see anything visably wrong with it.

If you're buying a Volvo part, there is now a core charge so they'll want the old one back, un-opened. I don't advise opening it.
