Installing bazooka subwoofer to HU615 S40-V40

I have the HU615. I’m fairly sure that what I want to do is smooth out the high’s. They are a little harsh to my ear….so I’m thinking of trying to find some soft dome tweeters, like Boston’s perhaps, to smooth that part of the system out (any feedback on fit and more linear tweeters would also be appreciated too).

The bass is a joke, not much more then a bump in the frequency band, so I really want to splice the bazookas in to the system as well (I have a pair of 6" bazooka's w/master amp and slave tube). I haven’t taken anything apart yet (not even the sub) to take a look at connections……but it seems like I should be able to pick up a pre-amp signal (via DIN splitter?....not RCA's right?) that feeds the sub as well as a trigger connection for the bazookas electronics. My old system used Kenwood DIN's and I have number of splitters and Y-plugs....but I suspect the pins may not match the configuration of Volvo's electronics.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
