ABS/STC module, more S80

Turns out that my parts dept's been hosing us, NO core charge afterall for S80 ABS units but I have yet to see one that's not warranty so no oportunity to open one up yet. They also do cost $800 (ouch).
If it looks like the older 850/X70 types on the inside, one would need to be pretty good with a small soldering iron, an electronics type that I've never seen. The typical home/auto repair types would never cut it IMO.
