Functional obsolecense 850 1997

I'm sorry to say this.

I just received the first ABS controller for a S80. I'm "the guy" on the web who claims to repair the modules".
Actually, I have been a Volvo owner (3 now, 8 overall), master ASE tech since 1984, member of this board and others as well.

The S80 shares the same ABS/TRACS controller as the 96-97 850 and the 98-02 70 series.
They (Volvo and ATE) attempted to solve some of the failures by modifying the design of some of the components; but, the first one I received for repairs still failed.

Keep submitting your complaints to the NTSB, I have. Eventually Volvo will be forced to recall the defective units.
