850 cpu upgrade questions.. 850

I am thinking about getting an upgraded cpu for my car. However i have many questions first, Hopefully some people can help me out. At the bottom of my post i have listed some companies offering this upgrade so people who arnt familure can check it out.

1. The companies advertise that this will increase tourque and HP but WILL NOT EFFECT MPG OR DRIVABILITY. Now, does anyone know for sure if this modification will not kill my gas milage? assume i will drive the same with the mod as i do now.. anyone with this upgrade already please help me out!

2. Is this modification worth the money? It is a very expensive modification.. does the torque and HP gain realy justify the price? Would the money spent for this mod be better spent on something else that will improve tourque and HP more than this mod?? (Assume new intake and aftermarket exhaust have already been done)

3. When i take my car to the local Volvo dealer and he goes to hook up his little scan computer to my car will he see i have an upgraded computer and tell me it is causing any and all problems i might be having at that time? Mechanics are good at blaming problems on something that realy isnt causing problems.
